Daphne the Blind Dog Gets Adopted is Daphne’s journey from an animal rescue to being settled in a loving home. She was four years old, already blind, had to be spayed and have her teeth removed to prepare her for adoption. Daphne bravely adapts to new situations, trusting that things will get better. The story focuses on Daphne’s abilities to still smell, hear, feel, know, and taste. Symbols throughout the book can help teach children about the senses.
